Still in beautiful (and insanely busy) Jackson right now. We've met up with a lot of friends from the Messiah/Harrisburg area. It's been great to have a large group to hang out with for a change, and the nightly dominoes games are a welcome change from mind-numbing rounds of rummy 500.
Thankfully, I was able to get a permit for the same days as my friends to climb the Grand Teton, so tomorrow I will be hiking up into the mountains to make our summit bid. The only downside is that Patti and I didn't really plan what else we were going to do while in Jackson, so we're basically killing time whiling everyone else is out whitewater rafting. It's probably for the best, though. I don't think my foot would benefit from being soaking wet all day. It is healing very nicely in the few days since my wreck. I've been able to wear shoes, and I don't think it will be anything more than an annoyance once we set out for the Grand. In a couple days I'll (hopefully) have some exciting summit pictures to share.
